2            On 16 Jan 2020, during an inspection of the premises, extensive cockroach infestation was detected in the premises such as at the mixing room, washing area and walk-in chiller. In addition, several lapses relating to poor housekeeping of the premises were observed.

3              In the interest of public health, O Bread 2 Pte Ltd was instructed to discard the implicated food products immediately and rectify the lapses.

4             Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure that regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.
