SFA Recalls Jay and Joy Products Due To Possible Presence Of Listeria Monocytogenes

Further to our media release on 22 January 2023, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has extended the recall to include two additional Jay and Joy products from France due to possible presence of Listeria Monocytogenes.

This follows an additional alert from the European Commission Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) on the two other implicated products.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a notification* on the recall of various Jay and Joy products from France, due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

As the implicated products were imported into Singapore, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has directed the importer, Eurolink Nutrition Pte. Ltd., to recall the product. The recall is ongoing.

Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogenic bacteria that can cause foodborne illnesses.

Symptoms may include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.

Consumers who have purchased the implicated product are advised not to consume it.

Those who have consumed the implicated product and have concerns about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries.

Jeanne Le Blute Vegan Blue Cheese – All batches and use by dates
Jill Vegan Goat Cheese – All batches and use by dates
Josephine Vegan Brie – All batches and use by dates
Vegan Pate – All batches and use by dates
Vegan Geraspte Kaas Grated Cheese – All batches and use by dates
Jean Jacques Vegan Maroilles – All batches and use by dates
