Recall of Delissimo Saveur Crème Brulee Ice Cream Due To Possible Presence Of Ethylene Oxide (SFA)

The European Commission Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has issued a notification on the recall of Delissimo Saveur Crème Brulee Ice Cream from France due to the presence of ethylene oxide.

2 As the implicated products were imported into Singapore, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has directed the importer, Le Petit Depot Pte Ltd, to recall the product from their customers. The recall is ongoing.

3 Ethylene oxide is a pesticide that is not authorised for use in food. Although there is no immediate risk to consumption of food contaminated with low levels of ethylene oxide, long term exposure may lead to health issues. Therefore, exposure to this substance should be minimised as much as possible.
