Recall of “Feng He Garden” Products Due To Preservatives Exceeding Permitted Levels And Undeclared Preservatives (SFA)

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has detected the presence of preservatives exceeding the standards stated in the Singapore Food Regulations in “Feng He Garden” products.

In addition, there is no declaration of preservatives used on these food packaging labels.

SFA has directed the importer, Feng He Garden Pte Ltd, to recall all of the implicated products.

The recall is ongoing.

Implicated Products

(1) Feng He Garden Gan Xiang Paste
Expiry date: All dates Packing Size: 120g
Country of origin: Malaysia



(2) Feng He Garden Moomite Sauce
Expiry date: All dates Packing Size: 100g
Country of origin: Malaysia



(3) Feng He Garden Salted Egg Yolk Paste
Expiry date: All dates Packing Size: 120g
Country of origin: Malaysia

2 Under the Food regulations, ingredients such as food preservatives must be declared on food packaging labels.

Only permitted food preservatives can be used in food products imported or manufactured for sale in Singapore, and these must not exceed the specified maximum levels allowed.
