Recall of Meadows Bottled Drinking Water Due to Presence of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa (SFA)

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has detected the presence of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa in “Meadows” bottled drinking water during a routine sampling of the product.

The product was imported from Malaysia by Cold Storage Singapore (1983) Pte Ltd.

SFA has directed the importer to recall all the implicated products.
The recall has been completed.

Country of origin: Malaysia

2 Pseudomonas Aeruginosa is a common environmental bacteria and can be found in faeces, soil, water and sewage.

It can multiply in water environments and on the surface of suitable organic materials in contact with water.

Consumption of products contaminated with Pseudomonas Aeruginosa can cause a range of infections but rarely causes serious illness in healthy individuals.
