Suspension of Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd Food Business Operations (SFA)

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has suspended the operations of a food processing establishment, Hup Huat Noodles Pte Ltd (located at 10 Chin Bee Drive, #05-00, Singapore 619861), with effect from 4 December 2024 until further notice.

2 During an inspection at the said premises on 4 December 2024, non-compliances such as severe pest (live cockroaches) infestation and poor housekeeping and maintenance (e.g. dirty floor and food processing equipment) were detected.

3 In the interest of public health, SFA has directed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve food safety practices and ensure the cleanliness of its premises.

4 Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and ensure that regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.

5 All food operators should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on food safety management.

SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food safety requirements. Offenders are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 for each offence.

6 Members of the public who come across poor food safety practices in food establishments are advised not to patronise them and provide feedback via SFA’s online feedback form (www.sfa.gov.sg/feedback) with details for follow-up investigations.
