{"id":3412,"date":"2025-04-30T15:53:15","date_gmt":"2025-04-30T07:53:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/?p=3412"},"modified":"2025-04-30T16:01:30","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T08:01:30","slug":"suspension-of-al-azeem-at-253-jurong-east-street-24-01-247-sfa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/30\/suspension-of-al-azeem-at-253-jurong-east-street-24-01-247-sfa\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspension of Al Azeem At 253 Jurong East Street 24, #01-247 (SFA)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Suspension<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>of\u00a0Al Azeem, the Food Shop at 253 Jurong East Street 24 #01-247 Singapore 600253, under the Points Demerit System<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) will be <strong><em>suspending the licence of Al Azeem, the Food Shop at 253 Jurong East Street 24, #01-247, Singapore 600253.<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The period of suspension is <strong><em>two weeks from 29\/4\/2025 to 12\/5\/2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"997\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image.png 997w, https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-300x192.png 300w, https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-768x492.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 997px) 100vw, 997px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00a02\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The licensee has accumulated 12 demerit points within a 12-month period and was fined a total of $900 for the following offences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>No.<\/th><th>Offence<\/th><th>Demerit Points<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>(1)<\/td><td>Fail to keep licensed premises free of infestation<\/td><td>6<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>(2)<\/td><td>Fail&nbsp;to register assistant<\/td><td>6<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<br>\n\n\n\n<p>3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Based on track records,\u00a0a licensee who accumulates 12 or more demerit points during a 12-month period may have his licence suspended for a period of either two or four weeks or cancelled. All food handlers working in the suspended premises would also be required to re-attend and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1, before they can resume work as food handlers. The licensee is also required to ensure that all food hygiene officers working in the suspended premises, if any, re-attend and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SFA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food business operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times. This includes engaging only registered food handlers and ensuring upkeep and maintenance of licensed premises (including toilets within).
