1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Singapore\u00a0Food Agency (SFA)<\/em><\/strong> will be suspending the licence<\/em><\/strong> of Malaysia Chiak!, the Food Shop at\u00a01 Northpoint Drive #B1-205, #B1-204, #B1-203, Singapore 768019<\/em><\/strong>, under the Points Demerit System.

The period of suspension is two weeks<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from 21\/09\/2022 to 04\/10\/2022<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(both dates inclusive).<\/p>\n\n\n

2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The licensee has accumulated 12 demerit points within a 12-month period<\/em><\/strong> and was fined a total of S$800<\/em><\/strong> for the following offences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Based on track records, a licensee who accumulates 12 or more demerit points within a 12-month period may\u00a0have his licence suspended for a period of either two or four weeks, or cancelled.\u00a0All food handlers working in the\u00a0suspended premises would also be required to re-attend and pass the\u00a0Food Safety Course Level 1, before they can resume work as food handlers. The licensee is also required to ensure that all food hygiene officers\u00a0working in the\u00a0suspended premises, if any, re-attend and pass\u00a0the Food Safety Course Level 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4          SFA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times, and to engage only registered food handlers. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
