{"id":2035,"date":"2021-01-16T22:46:10","date_gmt":"2021-01-16T14:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/?p=2035"},"modified":"2021-01-16T22:47:14","modified_gmt":"2021-01-16T14:47:14","slug":"suspension-of-licence-of-suriayani-trading-pte-ltd-at-15-woodlands-loop-03-01-sfa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/index.php\/2021\/01\/16\/suspension-of-licence-of-suriayani-trading-pte-ltd-at-15-woodlands-loop-03-01-sfa\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspension of Licence of Suriayani Trading Pte Ltd at 15 Woodlands Loop #03-01 (SFA)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong><em>Singapore Food Agency (SFA)<\/em><\/strong> has suspended the licence of a food processing establishment, <strong><em>Suriayani Trading Pte Ltd<\/em><\/strong>, with effect from <strong><em>15 Jan 2021 until further notice<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"459\" src=\"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-6-1024x459.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2036\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-6-1024x459.png 1024w, https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-6-300x134.png 300w, https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-6-768x344.png 768w, https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/image-6.png 1109w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On 14 Jan 2021, during an inspection of the said premises, it was observed that there were cockroach infestations at multiple locations within the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the interest of public health, SFA instructed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the cleanliness of its premises. <br><br>The licensee was also <strong><em>fined $800<\/em><\/strong> for the lapses detected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. <br><br>While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure that regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All food operators should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management. <br><br>SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food hygiene and food safety requirements. <br><br>Offenders are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $100 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
