The Singapore Food Agency (SFA)<\/em><\/strong> will be suspending the licence of KNS Restaurant, the food shop at 990 Jurong West Street 93, #01-01, Multi Storey Car Park, Singapore 640990<\/i><\/b>, under the Points Demerit System.

The period of suspension is two weeks from 14\/12\/2020 to 27\/12\/2020<\/i><\/b>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The licensee has accumulated 18 demerit points<\/em><\/strong> over a 12-month period and fined a total of $1,200<\/em><\/strong> for the following offences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Based on track records, a licensee who accumulates 12 or more demerit points during a 12-month period may\u00a0have his licence suspended for a period of either two or four weeks, or cancelled.\u00a0All food handlers working in the\u00a0suspended premises would also be required to attend and pass the Basic Food Hygiene Course again, before they can resume work as food handlers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4          All food hygiene officers working in suspended premises would be required to re-attend and pass the WSQ Conduct Food & Beverage Hygiene Audit course to ensure that they are properly trained and qualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5          SFA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times, and to engage only registered food handlers. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
