{"id":1119,"date":"2019-07-06T09:17:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-06T01:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgtaste.sg\/?p=1119"},"modified":"2019-07-06T09:37:39","modified_gmt":"2019-07-06T01:37:39","slug":"a-peep-at-the-newly-opened-funan-sg-mall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgtaste.com\/index.php\/2019\/07\/06\/a-peep-at-the-newly-opened-funan-sg-mall\/","title":{"rendered":"A Peep At The Newly-Opened Funan SG Mall"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Opened in January 1985 as <em>Funan Centre<\/em>, the mall was then refurbished in 1992 and subsequently adopted the name <em>Funan The IT Mall<\/em> in 1997 to reflect its current focus on IT related products and gadgets..<br><br>It then renamed to <em>Funan Digitalife Mall<\/em>, and under its new owner &#8211; <em>CapitalMall Trust<\/em>&#8216;s decision, it ceased operations on June 30, 2016, and was subsequently demolished by the end of 2016. <br><br>In July 2019, the newly-revamped <em>Funan<\/em> opens for business! <br><br>The mall boasts many &#8220;firsts&#8221; in Singapore, such as a dedicated cycling lane on every floor of the mall, a first-of-its-kind <em>Golden Village <\/em>cinema with multi-sensory experiences and a high tech food court with a conveyor belt system and self-ordering kiosks by <em>Kopitiam<\/em>. <br><br>It also feature a rock climbing wall, operated by <em>Climb Central<\/em>, and online to offline shopping.
